Floor Mats

Post by superchoward »

My Roc was delivered today but I didn't spec floor mats so I am now looking to buy some from my local dealer. Looking on the VW website there are three types available, rubber mats are the cheapest at £55, standard mats next at £75 and luxury mats are £95. I think rubber will probably do the best job but look the worst so I am probably going to go with standard unless somebody on here tells me that luxury are the only ones good enough to go in a Roc.

Anybody got opinions of each type?

I have the luxury and rubber set. The rubber mats look quite smart with the Scirocco logos, plus very easy to clean with a quick hose down...

Front rubber mats are about £28 from the dealers.

I specced the luxury ones for £95 but I'm thinking to buy a rubber set too when the car arrives. You can probably find those on ebay for £20 ish?!

How do you rate the luxury ones Scirocco? I think I'm swaying towards the rubber ones now but definitely want a full set rather than just fronts.

The luxury mats look the part with the embroided Scirocco logo and add a touch of class to the interior. In saying that I never seem remove my rubber mats as they are so serviceable.

I didn't pay for either sets of mats and if I was asked to fork out £95 for the luxury set I would probably think twice.....

I tried to but the broker wasn't shifting. He said he could sell the car within hours to somebody else and after missing out on a few cancelled orders and not having the patience to wait for a factory order I didn't have much choice.

Me too, never bought mats either for any new car, although R models have mats as standard so you didn't gain anything
