Hey All.
Well today was the day! I finally went to collect my Candy White that was ordered back in February.
Initial impressions are great:
- The car feels really sturdy, the steering is excellent and I love the flat bottomed steering wheel.
- Engine (TSI 160) is brilliant, very responsive and great on twisty back roads and on the motorway. - I'm looking forward to putting my foot down past the first 1000 and really seeing what it can do.
- Bog standard radio with ipod connectivity is brilliant - easy to use, touch screen is very responsive and I thought that the included cleaning wipes were a nice touch!
The car was ordered from VW West London on the Great West Road. Although the initial sales service was somewhat lacking, this was swiftly addressed leading to a new sales manager, free tank of fuel and a bottle of champagne! If you're thinking of ordering a car from this dealer, make sure you ask to deal with Craig B - he was brilliant.
Just need to get hold of some chrome tail pipes and some led lights for the number plate
Here are a few photos, some are taken alongside my friends MINI:

Car's looking great bud. That Mini looks mean too! Have you driven it? If so, what are your comparison thoughts?

Pictures were taken at Epsom - there is a large grassy car park right next to the race course that's good for pics. Weather was amazing down here last Wednesday - hence the nice blue skies.
As for the MINI - it's a cooper diesel, so not really my cup of tea (I'm a petrol man all the way!!) - but he has had it remapped and it's putting out a lot more than it left the factory with now. I was amazed at all the stuff you can do with those cars... They are a modders paradise!
Glad you like the stormtrooper I need to find a way of making him stand up - he just floats around at the moment!
Dan.
