haha It never will. I was pointing out that Audi has a history of 5 pot engines and that your ford comment was irrelevant. I may as well as you if your Joining the Evo OC with your Highly tuned 2.0 4 pot :P

have you seen the vid of the 700bhp 2.5 TFSI ? it does catch fire lol

well the 2.5 conversion is out of the question...engine alone is £10k from Audi! That EXCLUDES the ECU / Loom and all other bits that u need.

so that's that then.

Don't forget that your Engine is worth a bob or 2 in exchange though ...

Yup...I'm also in the same boat as well! What do you go for after an R?

So far I've entertained a step sideways to a Golf R, but I'm told 8 months for a new one (£41K) in the exact spec I'd want.
I've recently test driven the TT-RS, which was fantastic, but 'way' too expensive to buy new, to an exact specification. And I actually found the standard seats caused me a bit of discomfort which really surprised me!!!
I've been advised to test drive the M3 Coupe, but I genuinely think 4WD is a must have up where I live in the NE Scotland.
I've recently started to think about a used GT-R, which is the car of my dreams, and is also right up at the top end of my budget, and starts to make a used low mileage TT-RS look like a bit of a bargain.
My biggest problem is that there are so many excellent cars to choose from nowadays and when you have a max budget of circa £50K, do you buy a good new car, or a great used car. This is really starting to do my head in! :?

Later Peeps,

Given lack of use and budget I'd be on the lookout for as good a carerra 4s I could find

In reality you are knocking on the door for a used R8
