Finally got mine and hello!

Post by Deacon »

Hello,

I've been lurking on here for quite a while but finally picked up my candy white 1.4 last weekend so thought I should post and say hello. Due to the bad weather I haven't had much chance to drive her yet but, so far, she is more than exceeding my expectations - what a fantastic car! I didn't spec any options apart from the premium mats and the premium sill protectors (which are about the only thing I've been less than impressed with - after seeing the standard sill protector vinyl things on some pictures I wish I'd gone for those as they actually seem to cover more of the sill and so do a better job of protection).

Cheers,

Deacon

Thanks! It was taken with a DSLR using a 50mm prime lens with a really shallow depth of field to give that nice out of focus look for the background and windscreen area. I took a couple of other shots - one had the bonnet badge on too and with the shallow depth of field although the headlight is in sharp focus the badge (what, about 2 inches further back?) is starting to get nicely blured.

(Apologies for this post - I'm a bit of a photography dork and love taking pictures!)

Sorry for the delay in replying I manged to miss your post.

Pictures were taken at my parents with my Dad's camera - a Canon 40D with the canon 50mm f1.8 prime lens for the partial shot and the others with the canon 17-85mm lens. I shoot with a sony set up. A link to my flickr site is below:-
