Picked Up Saturday 27th

Post by diaz101 »

I collected my scirocco saturday 27th feb,1.4tsi indium grey, its a motability car so I wasn't worried about waiting to get it on a new plate as I really needed to get around, it's bloody great, still trying to get comfortable, but have driven over 375 miles in a couple of days and the back feels ok :) cant wait to get out and polish it.
ordered card 18th oct, so wait wasn't as long as some.

cheers

Notice you dident get any options with your vehicle. Was it due to the overall cost of the car and the extras. I also have oredered my 1.4 160 on motability scheme, rising blue and added - fogs, 18" inters, tinted glass, Leather. overall cost inc car £3199. Have been on the scheme fo 6 years now, this will be my 3rd car, and think they do an amazing job with the manafacturers to get there prices so low.

Scirocco must be a popular choice on Motability as I've also got mine on the scheme..
Obviously I've also added a fair few extras gutted im still under 25 so I couldn't get the 160 but I can't wait for it to be delivered.. :-D

Totally agree that motability do a great service however I do feel the cost of any options is dead money as it is lost when it comes to replacing the car, I'm not knocking that it just does not work for the Mrs :( and the only option we went for was rear parking sensors having said that if it was MY choice I would of ordered it with dab, winter pack and folding mirrors. ;)

Mine 2 is a motability, waited so long the price has decreased, but I do agree its dead money saying that I got parking sensors 1/2 price for wait and have asked for tints and folding door mirrors tbc on my 2.0 BMT TDI Deep Pearl Black, hope I will be okay driving it on long distances as I have only test drove for about 1/2 hr. They have extended my lease on my quashqai till june hope its here before then.

Your lucky we had a 15min test on a specified route and they extended the lease on the beemer for us as we have been waiting since Sept due to a complete cock up by the previous dealer,so we went with Beadles at Aylesford hence the wait.

hi we are on motabiliy and have been for 15 years ordered just the scirocco 1.4 122 in indiem grey mid feburary it was not what we went in the showroom for but as my wifes condition has got worse in the last 3 years or the golf has changed that much in the 6 years since we had one is a toss up! perhaps she saw the scirocco there and decided that she just could not get in the polo or the golf but hey the scirocco was perfect ! i am looking foward to its arrival some when in the future

I think your comment is a little unfair the OP may have a budget
We too got our Viper on the Motability Scheme i dont know what id do without the scheme to be honest

Ive had some run of the mill ordinary cars but as my health worsens i decided this time i was going to have something nice while i can

we originally were going to order a standard base model and add the Interlagos alloys, and the fogs when we spoke to our dealer he informed us the GT model on the scheme was only something like £40 extra than adding those to options to the base model

So it was a bit of a no brainer as we got a better car with many many more extras for £40 more than what two of the extras would of costed

Win Win Situation Really  :D
