I'm not sure about VW. But Vauxhall have always been good for corporate discounts etc.

Best to ask Unison what companies they are affiliated with for offers like that. You wouldn't get a discount on a discount, so any unison discount like that would be off list price - saves you haggling I suppose, but you might be able to get £1500 - £2000 off a Roc with some careful negotiation and timing (go and talk numbers just after the new plate rush, say in April/May), or be willing to take an unallocated car they can grab off the system (might not be the exact colour or spec you'd choose if you were to order from scratch, but it would save a long wait if it was already in the process of being built!).
2013 - Tornado Red MK7 Golf GTD on order
2011-2013 - Rising Blue 170GT
2009-2011 - Pewter Roc 140GT
2007-2009 - Tornado Red Golf 170TDI GT
2005-2007 - Black Pearl Golf 140TDI GT
2003-2005 - Black Pearl Polo 1.9TDI

These sort of discounts can always be beaten by good old haggling.

I'd looked at drive the deal but had no previous experience of car brokers. Instead i just called about 8 local VW dealers (Essex and Suffolk) within an hours drive told them i was looking to match the drive the deal price and said i'd leave it with them. Not one told me "no chance" some came back with better initail offers than others. Finally had 2 local garages fighting for the business. Got about £2500 off list plus same discount rate off extras. Guaranteed trade in on our golf which due to delays is getting better every month, by time car hopefully comes early March won't be far off private list price. Made every dealer aware we were serious buyers. It was near end of month and end of quarter which i think helps. Also negotiated price for new car first then negotiated hard on trade in. Never like "price to change" deals that garages love because you can never see exactly what the deal is. Hope this helps save some people money

Exactly what you should do, if you go in and mess about they will just try to get the most cash off you, start with this is what i can get it for and can you match it to get the deal, that's basically what Drivethedeal do , so why not do it yourself.
