Just programmed the stereo

Post by morrissey »

Blimey - that was a job.

Radio presets, tone/balance, plus messed with all the other stuff.
Took a while to get my head around it all.

I also discovered that if you want to check your variable service interval,

1. Ignition on, but stationery with the engine not started
2. Hold the trip reset 0,0 button down for about 2 seconds

I have 368 days left and about 9000 miles

Is that for the long life service schedule (or whatever VW call it)?

I'd be nervous about servicing my Roc every 20,000 miles! But I guess it does depend on what kind of mileage you do.

i've had my my previous audi on long life and ended up being serviced every 17k or so when the light comes on, just keep regularly checking the oil, all be it the new engine in the roc so far hasn't shown the same levels of thirst

Yep - but I expect it to go up a bit when I get out on the motorway next week.

Once you get down to the last 1000 miles or 30 days you the display comes up every time you fire up the engine (if it's like the Audi system)

Just made sure my fave 6 stations were on the radio front page and adjusted the tone/balance mainly.
Messed with the other settings as well to see what they did :)
