Exhaust

Post by Strat »

Am i right in thinking the Milltek exhaust is the only aftermarket option for the Scirocco R at the moment? Or are there others?

Secondly, when one puts a new exhaust on there car, what happens to their OEM one? Im thinking more about what do you normally do when it comes time to sell and return the car the standard?

Merci!

Some people sell the original on ebay, others keep it and put it back on when they sell the car and then put the Milltek on ebay.

Akrapovic have an exotic Titanium version that costs twice as much as the Milltek!

I'm sure in due course companies like Scorpion and Jetex and Remus will make one for the R.

You can always find an exhaust to custom make you one.

Here is the sound of the ARQRAY Titanium Exhaust, which sounds extremely nice

ARQRAY are JAP...main man has surname of Fujitsubo...and i've heard of exhausts by that name in my Scooby days. Good stuff too.

No idea how you can get hold of one in the UK tho...be difficult to import one i think. Could try some top end Jap Tuners in the UK i suppose.

pesonally mate i'd keep the bits your take off so if needs must you can return it to oem, never understood the totally mentality of funding your mods by selling the stock items as a false econmy in the long run or you end up doing swapsies

I agree with above. Keep the standard bits then re-fit or flog them or the aftermarket bits when you sell the car.

it would be around 1360 pounds for a Arqray catback based on yen price (178,500 yen) , not sure how much it cost to ship though, its a stainless steel exhaust with titanium tips.
