Just had another delivery update - 7th Feb. Apparently, the car is built and "in transit" so there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi All,

Ordered my R early October.

Just had a call from the dealer with a confirmed build week of week 4.

For those who have taken deilvery already, how long will delivery be after the sart of the build?

3-4 weeks in my experience.

Have been to the dealers today my scirocco r is there and looking fantastic, will collect it on Friday, it's going to be a long week I'm so excited .

Iv been monitoring this forum for a while, I ordered a new fully loaded R last August, I was at the dealers today & he told me its in for build week 7.. not quite sure how it works but its got DSG Sunroof etc & all the other gadgets so will see when it turns up.

Got a message from the dealer today - have a confirmed build week of 5 - so delivery should be in March - given that I only ordered on the 27th November - that could be as little as a 3-4 month wait a lot shorter than I was expecting and much shorter than others are having to wait - the process seeems to have huge variances !! with no real explanation........

The logic appears to be vw now producing r's online rather than batches, which is different to last year. We have 48, 49, 50, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.... Them is a lot of R's.

Got an email from the dealer today, confirmed build week of week 5!!!

delivery expected March!

Looks like me and mattyw's cars will be twins!!

Got an email confirming BW4, offering delivery late Feb. Replied asking for delivery with the new plate. It looks like I really am going to be driving a Scirocco in just over a month.

Hi All

just heard from my dealer that MY Rocc R will be delivered early March

I checked the paperwork & I actually ordered it on 2nd Oct & not Aug as previously stated, that was the wifes Golf estate & that has now arrived just waiting on the new plate.

Seems like alot of cars are going to be delivered in March
