It's the little things..............

Has anyone come anything they didn't know they had, or that your 'roc did, by accident?

I just noticed that the 'star' button on the steering wheel will mute the radio, but that it also pauses your ipod track if that is playing.

I've also just found out that the photochromatic rear view mirror needs to be switched on  I knew it was a feature, but didn't realise you had to press what is obviously an on/off button to activate it.....

Mine is always on, if I turn it off, then the next time I start up the Green light will be on again.

I didn't know that my scirocco had Daytime Running Lights until after I got it, but then I'm not sure that I like them (tho I haven't attempted to deactivate them just yet).

And though it's not really a feature that I didn't know I had, I'm pleasantly suprised with the RCD 510 and how functional it is (CD's, SD's, ipods, etc etc etc!)

I like the way the wipers work. I.E with the the wipers on. When you come to a halt the wipers drop back to intermittent so they don't start making a row and if you turn off the engine when the wipers are mid sweep they don't just stay stuck in the middle of the screen but drop back down to the rest position.
It's nothing new. My Audi did it too, but it's just a nice piece of attention to detail imo.

I like the fact that if the front wipers are on and you stick it in reverse it clears the back window for you.....A nice feature but totally pointless as you can't see feck all out the back when reversing anyway!!!

When you select reverse It also puts the heater system into internal recirculation mode, so it cant ull in any fumes while reversing. . . . .

Best feature I found out by accident was how the driver window opens with the key fob when you hold unlock down - freaky thing was that the key was in my pocket at the time and I thought I was having either an LSD trip or an electrical problem!!

The other thing I found out by accident was how godammed f@cking cool everyone else thinks my car is!!!

Roc On!!
My Roc was fast - but now its FASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roc On!!

noticed this morning ( first icy morning with the ROC ) that it heats up and clears the windows much faster than my MK 5 GTI did, thats a welcome point on a cold morning.

how the underside of the bonnet lip attracts sh#te so you get nice black marks on your hands as vw were too cheap to put a hydraulic stay in, remember to wipe first :)

this is true, would it have been so bad to fit a strut as in the GTI? surely it wouldnt have cost that much.

I would of paid the extra £5 for one......

Its a little thing but slightly annoying and cheap.

Yeah, i've noticed the car gets up to temp much faster than previous VAG cars i've owned, including the A3, which i'm bloody thankful for, it's probably one of my favourite features of the car right now. :D . i'm nice and toasty within a couple of miles, and less if it's only been stood a couple of hours, it's like up to temp virtually right away, something to do with the oil circulation i think.. That's a little thing that makes a big difference.

A rather easy way to ruin the glass if your window isn't clean.. I'll deactivate this feature with vag-com, and then remove the back-wiper.
