Is the Scirocco front bonnet too soft?
Some kids were playing with a tennis ball in my complex and the ball ended up bouncing off the engine bonnet resulting in the ball making a ding on the bonnet. It seems very soft compared to my Golf 5 bonnet. Are they all like that or is it just me?

I think they are ok, TBH most cars are the same these days to meet pedestrian impact laws, ps if you can get behind the bump you might get it out yourself with a little push

Thx 182. I was intially going to try tht but I didn't wnt to make it worse, but I'll give it a shot. Its only visible on close inspection, but because I know its there it annoys me. I guess I have to be more careful where I park my baby..

Would it help if I told you that I drove into my own gatepost last night? Big scrape all down the front angled bit. New bumper job, I thinkAvi wrote:Any other words of comfort would really help me thru this sad moment in my Rocs life.... Hehehe!

In my defence: I'm pretty sick atm. Not in my defence: This is the second company car I've clattered off the same bloody gatepost. FFS.

I had to get them to widen the entry gate at my complex. There was no way I was going to try to squeeze my car thru tht tiny entrance made for a Yaris.
Sorry abt ur bumber dude. I know ur pain.

If you do push it out don't go mad as it could go to far the other way, if your not sure a pro can do it for aprox £50, at least the paint isn't damaged, dental can mostly be sorted with little fuss.

I hit a pheasant a few months ago at around 70mph and it cost £250 to repair the bonnet it should be made from armour plate to withstand pedestrians and furry/feathered woodland creatures
