Reversing with PDC

Post by pikkewyn »

Hi Guys

Could anybody clarify something for me please. When engaging reverse (and obviously activating PDC) my radio used to always decrease volume automatically and the side mirrors used to dip so that the pavement could be seen. These suddenly stopped and now I wonder why.

Is there a setting for both of these that I might have changed? What could be the reason?

There is nothing in the manual that I can see.

Thanks Philip

Not sure about either tbh, but if the rocco is like a golf for the dipping reverse to work you need to have the mirror switch in the left position for it to work.

Try this discussion. You may also need to switch on the feature via the MFD menus

I don't think that topic won't help him much candyman as it worked before but good thought, seeing as you had it before pikkewyn I think you may have knocked it or as blue says the switch isn't in the correct position (pointing to the passenger mirror on the dial)

I recall someone else having their radio mute not work but can't find the fix at the moment

Yes there is s a setting where you can adjust the radio volume when reversing. I think its under Settings menu - shouldn't be too hard to find and then its just a case of trying out the 4 available volume settings to see what you prefer.
As already stated, for the mirror down function to work you need to have the mirror control on the door panel set to "L".
No reason why these should have changed if you haven't altered them - but the Roc's MFD / computers can sometimes have a bit of a funny do and re-set occasionally.

The other thing to consider is the two keyfobs have their own settings so if you have changed over for any reason, the second one needs setting up like the first. This applies to the mirror down settings position. Radio

Thanks Guys, I really appreciate the responses.

The mirror is solved, it wasn't in the "L" position on the dial as I didn't realise it had to be. So that is working again.

I find the setting on the radio for the PDC but even re-setting it to the required setting, it doesn't work. I will have to address with the agents but I doubt that they will know either to be quite honest as I have a lot more faith in Scirocco Central for problem solving than the agents! I still have a problem with the drivers window not always wanting to close and bouncing back to a position approx one third down. The agents said they could not find a fault but it still does this sometimes so to me its a fault and frustrating.

Thanks Again, Phil
