348 miles.....

Post by Vibester »

Well its been through snow and back and I have been racking up the miles slowly but surely, acting like a taxi for anyone I can in order to get past a 1,000 miles!

What a car! I am still amazed at the torque and acceleration in all gears, top notch.

Dynaudio is reasonable and Ipod does a decent job. A little set back was I have been provided with the verion 6 maps, so I will be on to the dealer to get that sorted. Does anyone off hand know the prices of this?

A quick question is, while I understand top up oil should be 5w30 Full synthetic, did anyone get any particular sway on a brand, i.e Castrol, Mobil etc?

I stick to the OE suplliers so Shell Helix VX or Castrol LL 5w30.

But any brand that meets the VW spec 507.00 should be fine.

Just sticking to the manual , bit of running in to 600 miles and then still a little care up until 1000 miles.

I have considered the download V7 maps option, but I dont want to mess with something I cant test first. Plus too many people show a V7 when in fact its probably a virus or v6 at best. i have the knowhow to do it, but would be operating in an unknown area for me to download and upload to unit.

Thanks for the oil info, need to purchase in time for topping up.
