cheers
just go in and buy. they should have plenty.
and yes i say its worth it (as mine hasn't frozen up since but its got the correct concentration in there now)
VW Screenwash, yes. Hit warranty problems on previous cars with the bonnet nozzle units because I used non VW and it damage the jet heaters.
They usually have it in stock but given there may have been a run on it at your dealer Mine had it on the parts counter in winter pack offer of one screen wash & two de-icer aerosols at lunchtime. So you should not have a problem really unless its bad timing with their stock levels. Phone ahead with the part number (G052 164 M2 - 1 ltr) and reserve.

tomorrow i will get another from the local SEAT dealer, see if theirs are cheaper.
I was wondering the same thing, is it any cheaper at Seat or Skoda? I saw it in the Audi dealership the other week but totally forgot to ask the price as a rather nice RS5 caught my attention!
£3.38 here. (£2.88 excl. VAT). Not bad to be fair, can't go through TPS. They said I have to go to the dealership and they put me through (they're on the same site).
Dunno if I misread that, but many peeps were saying they went to TPS direct. So thought I'd try! £3.38 ain't bad. Will be getting 3 bottles to save a small amount on the VAT rise in Jan!
Popped into the Audi dealership this afternoon to pick up a couple of bottles of wash only to be told they're not allowed to sell the 1 ltr bottles with the green tops anymore.
The stuff they now sell comes in a 500ml Audi badged bottle and apparently is a different formulae as Audi don't use washer jets anymore! (can't quite see the reasoning for that myself). Seems a bit odd as Audi in Bristol had it on their shelves last week.
Needless to say it was back in the car and drive the extra mile up to VW who had plenty in stock.
Brought some De-Icer (which is the same I had already) which I paid over for, but was in traffic for 35 minutes on the road and moved like 1/2 mile, and thought "meh". I also got 3 bottles.
One of my dealers who are next to TPS in Stockport actually send me round if they can't supply an item and can see stock held next door (TPS).
Last visit got even better! The parts person actually walked out the back into TPS and got the part with TPS receipt and change to boot! While I was given a cup of coffee!
Still generally go up the road though to another dealer..... 15% off, no questions asked.
Very dependant really on which TPS you use.

just picked up the 1ltr screenwash from vw. I asked how much water do I put in with a full bottle as it's dry atm... he said just put the full bottle in and then fill it up to the top with water? problem is I can't see the container it goes into (as you will know.
So how much water do I put in... Sorry never had to do the mix before...
In this weather I'm using 1 bottle if screenwash with 2 bottles of water. The 3 litres may not fill the car completely but if you dilute it more obviously there's a greater chance of it freezing.
- 3.0 ltrs
- 5.5 ltrs if you have headlight washer jets

For future reference if you pull the tab on the label there are little diagrams that tell you the mix ratio and protection level. IIRC there is a picture earlier in the thread as it often comes up
