Snow watch... Northampton to Glasgow??

Post by The Don »

I should have had my car over a week ago except for this fu**ing Snow!!

Just wondering if any Northampton rocers can give me an idea of how the conditions are down there to see if there's a chance I'll get my car before Christmas?

It seems ok where I am, 15 miles east of Northampton. Hardly any snow but just very frosty. The M1 near Northampton was stuffed yesterday after some unexpected snow but I would have thought is ok'ish today, I'll be out there by the M1 tomorrow (Tues) so will have a nosey!

I do know the conditins round here have been very localised though, some places less that 20 miles from me were clobbered yesterday but we had nothing so until I get the other side of Northampton tomorrow it's difficult to be certain what it's like!

Between Rugby and Birmingham should be no problem. Only another 300 miles or so to check then!

my mate was in about northhants the other day and said it was passable, when you get down to Milton keynes is when it gets a bit more dicey.

honestly i think the best place for a new car is tucked away at the dealers, having popped out this morning i'm glad ours are back on the drive

+1 although it may be fairly clear, is it worth having a mishap with a brand new car. I nearly had a run in with mine when it was summer, so many toys and new things to look at

best to leave it until the weather improves. besides the potential danger ( factory tyres are not very snow friendly), the car will end up dirtier then wayne rooney and would be covered in salt.

eventually the snow will pass, it always does.
