Totally agree - I've done the same for the 360. Looks tasty from the vids on the official site:

Some new videos out of this. It's looking very cool

Did anyone get F1 2010?

I got my copy last night.

Not bad.

I've done a couple of time trial laps at spa in the wet and brazil in the dry and I did a 20% race at monza. Finished 23rd cos Massa, can you confirm you understand, DNF'd. I managed a 1.29.3

I think the wheel control needs more customising but you can't do it. It's a little slow on the lock for me.

Physics model isn't too bad. I've spun a few times (I've got it all on hard) and I need to find out how to turn off the penalties. I must have done about 8 laps at Brazil before one counted!

There's too much of a lag when changing up and i don't quite feel like I'm in contact with the tarmac but I'll get used to it.

So not bad so far.

I used to be a big gamer on PC, but I switched over to a Mac and seemed to lose interest (obvious why...). I bought a PS3 during the Summer in the hope the desire to play would return, but it hasn't really. I have quite a few games but I've not played any for a while. I'm not into F1 so didn't bother with F1 2010 but will get GT5.

Out at the end of this week is WRC 2010 - has anyone any thoughts on it? Worth a shot? I come from a rallying background, so my heart says yes, but my head says wait...

Cheers

I've seen some pretty iffy reviews on it. There's a demo of WRC in the PSN store.

I got the demo off the store last night and had a quick play.

mmm

Looks ok but doesn't play ok.
The sound is terrible. It's too buzzy and not 'mechanical' enough. You can almost do the whole demo stage on the throttle, just lifting now and then for tighter corners. I don't think it's even as good as the rallying on GT3.

I had a quick look at the on screen 'ad' for it on Amazon, and as you said it looks very iffy. Too floaty, as if the cars we're just flying down the stages. One to avoid - certainly not a patch on CM Dirt/CMD2.

Thanks anyway.

Cheers

Been playing F1 2010 since its release. The Xbox version has some terrible slow down on some tracks, particularly by the swimming pool in Monaco. Also finding that I'm being held in the pits for far too long - 12 seconds at my last race. Others reporting this as a bug & Codemasters are investigating.

Aside from that and the annoying, nagging engineer, looks good and plays nicely although the perma-fireworks at Singapore are a bit naff. Playing it on Expert and it is brutal - on the next level down I'm lapping a few tenths behind Webber in a Lotus...

Definitely an improvement on recent attempts and have high hopes for next year's.

I find Forza 3 is the most realistic racing game out there.

Medal of Honour (latest one) looks good if anyone is into FPS games.

I liked the original on PC but preferred Call of Duty on PC. Still play COD2 on Mac. I still have a soft touch for Quake/Q2...

I have CoD Black Ops on order.

Just playing a bash and crash game called Dead Rising2 at the moment. Its good fun and a bit of stress relief at the end of the day.

Well, Gran Turismo 5 finally has a proper, official, set in stone release date - 24th November.

The car list is also now on the official site, but they seem to have forgotten to include the Scirocco!

57 different kinds of bloody Honda Civic, but the best VWs they can manage are a Golf V GTI and a Golf IV R32...

I play mainly FPS on the PC. i did get MW2 for the PS3 as I had played the hell out of COD4 already and the competition for BF:BC2 was not deep enough (so my team disbanded). I have just got MoH, just so I can get the BETA access to BF3. lol. If anyone has xfire lemme know!

I also like the PS3, don't play much online as I don't buy loads of games for it, but I love Wipeout, got GT5 and will be trading in Dead Rising and MW2 for Fifa 11.

Isn't it funny when old topics like this get raised from the bowels of the earth :D

I did a search for Gran Turismo, just to see if anyone around here bothered with driving games.

Not many of you it seems. They're not everyone's cup of tea. For me, it's a bit of fun and escapism.

Anyway, just for the record, there is now a Scirocco R available in the game 8) But if you're already playing it then you'll know that already...

Is that a free downloadable addon? I might dig it out again if it is :)

I'm currently going back through Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Epically brilliant game.

I'm afraid you have to pay for it. It's available in Car Pack 2 and costs £3.19. As well as the Volkswagen Scirocco R '10, you get the Mini MINI COOPER S '11, Nissan GT-R Black edition '12 and Volkswagen Golf VI R '10.

I've been playing The Walking Dead and Resident Evil 6 recently. Really enjoyed both. Next on the list is Dishonoured and Assassin's Creed 3 when it's out. :)

Creed3 is out in a week or so. I'll definitely be getting that. The previous ones have been brilliant.

I'm currently playing Black Mesa. The redux of Half Life. Free as well :)
