Most recent update from my end is a provisional buld week 10 - So mid March. Again he said due to the pano roof there's no real commitment to that. And this is a Customers Market???????

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Ordered mine today! Been given an estimated delivery date of late March / early April. Will post my build date as soon as it's confirmed. Dealer said they reckoned it would be about the end of the month?

All this talk of folk ordering in Nov/Dec and not being quoted a delivery date until April is making me start to wonder if my dealers guesstimate of late March was realistic! Mind you they've offered to fix the P/X value of my Golf so at least it's not costing me anything by waiting longer.

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Well you have not specced anything on the "problem" list so i can't see why you wouldn't get it about then. As you say it won't cost you any more moneywise but hair loss is a distinct possibility if it is delayed.tartangti wrote:All this talk of folk ordering in Nov/Dec and not being quoted a delivery date until April is making me start to wonder if my dealers guesstimate of late March was realistic! Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
I didn't add anything from the problem-list, and got a build date in week 22 (late may).
A guy I know ordered a candy white 2,0 with no options, got week 13.

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Just curious to know, I see a lot of you guys are quoting your "build week". I have checked my order form and it states delivery approx "end March '09". I ordered on Jan 5th. Will the build week be notified to me by the dealer or is it down to me to chase?
I do know that as of last Thursday (15th Jan), it had not gone to production start, so I guess even the dealer does not know this info yet.
Any info appreciated.
Many thanks.

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Seems for me at least that I have to chase to get any info at all! I think that with a fair wind behind the build I might just get the car in mid April - 22 Weeks after ordering. That is just silly for a mass produced VW!

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Thanks Sonnybhoy, yes, and you ordered way before me, mind you I see you specified pano-roof, so I guess there is a longer build time for those models, but not to the extent that you are waiting! I will wait until end of month I think, but I have minimum 2 and a bit months to wait for sure!sonnybhoy wrote:Seems for me at least that I have to chase to get any info at all! Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
You will get a build week once the car has a confirmed build slot. The factory will update your order, and the dealer will see the build week when they check your 'comm' no on the systemskippy wrote:Just curious to know, I see a lot of you guys are quoting your "build week". I sent VW Customer services an email on Sunday complaining about build times, I still haven't had a reply as yet. Now that's customer service!
I luv Roc!

I ordered on Oct 31st and mine's already been built. You should get on to them to find out why it's so late.

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Well finally got fed up with waiting ... With a build date so far away which is still not guaranteed, I decided to go on the hunt today... and damn I'm glad I did!
I found an ex-demo DSG Roc in Candy White with Leather, Nav and Parking Sensors Having spoken to the dealer I've put a retaining deposit down until I go to look at it tomorrow
It's a great deal, less than I was paying for my factory order, better spec and most of all I can have it NOW!!!
On the downside I've got a 300 mile round trip tomorrow to see her but hey I could be Roccing within a week

It's a done deal,silver130 wrote:Well ?????
I can't quite believe It, well worth the 4.5 hours of driving.
Even though the car is an ex-demo it's mint, not a stone chip in sight. Luckily the sales guy whos been driving it has taken good care of it.
The car is still on demo retention and can't be sold until the 4th Feb, so I'm picking the on the 7th Feb.. Can't wait...
All I have to do now is get my deposit back from my factory order, which after some digging shouldn't be too difficult.
If anyone is after a Candy Roc with a Panno roof etc.. build week 22, PM me and I will forward you the dealers details.
on a final note and for those of a certain age... 'Ooohh I could crush a grape!'
I luv Roc!

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Nice one JaseW - enjoy
Again looking at all of these posts and the length of time people have had to wait, I find it hard to believe mine will be delivered for end of March (ordered 5th Jan). I still don't have a build week allocated to me yet, I may phone my dealer at the end of the week to see if there is any news.
I am not unduly worried though, as I my P/x is depreciating fast anyway. What I will be annoyed about though, and this was indicated to me before, if the dealer wants to re-evaluate my PX value if there is a delay. I would threaten to cancel the order if that came about!
