FYI with regards to the GALA setting, I checked it this morning and I don't recall setting it, so it's still @ the factory default setting of 3rd notch in.

I might turn it off completely and see how the sound behaves as the GALA setting is what might cause the other issue I have with my stereo....

To be honest I was nursing a nasty hangover yesterday and so didnt venture out to the car but I will have a look when I get in from work :D
Car is now Sold!!!!! BMW 7 Series for now as nice and big but holding out for something a little special as my toy :)

CTRnutter did you ever get round to looking at what your setting was, as I still have the stereo around 18-22 most days :hyper:

filo1908 - why did you get the RCD310? I thought the 510 was standard in the UK? So maybe you're not in the UK? I'm in Ireland, where the RCD510 costs an extra €805, and if you want the RCD510 with Dynaudio, it's €1,552!

On the demo car I tried, 15 on the RCD510 was high enough. I used a cd of high quality to test it.
