My RB GT 170
Picked it up Tuesday evening and simply blown away... its awesome!
Fitted mats and filled the tank and thats about it so far, just can't stop driving it!
The Dynaudio sounds deep and crisp and the leather is lush! Been stopped by 3 people already admiring it asking what was it like and what the spec was!
Current Plans:
-Read the manual and learn!
-REVO Remap
-H&R Lowering Springs
-German Plates
-Gloss black front grill
cheers, Sam.

Re: My RB GT 170
That royal blue looks amazing when it's clean and you get a bit of sunlight on it! Now you just have to keep it in that condition
I did that too, thinking there was anything in there I had to know, but no Siree, just the old "drive like this" and "change radio frequency like that".samdub wrote:Current Plans:

Candy White 1.4 TSI 160 - DSG, ACC, 18" Interlagos (Euro Premium&Sport packs), Alu Door Sills, Current VCDS Mods Needle Sweep, Cornering Fog Lights, Alarm Chirp, Emergency Break Warning, Dension Gateway 5, sort of..
Re: My RB GT 170
Royal blue? Looks like rising blue to me!!

Re: My RB GT 170
It's definitely Rising Blue and it does look gorgeous up close.
The cornsilk (posh for cream) is fancy and it was a gamble as they only hd a complete cornsilk interior in the showroom in a and no two-tone examples... but it's like nothing else!

Re: My RB GT 170
Lovely car!
The RB was one of the choices on my list ... and I was initially tempted by the leather combo, though I wanted it in tan/black or tan/dark brown to match the Sumatra.
Bet you like those Bi-Xenons

Re: My RB GT 170
If you look back through sams posts you will see it was built in may ie before the changes iirc & has been sat at the dealers waiting for him to return from a work stint

Re: My RB GT 170
Changed to 'I Drive a' now, cheers for pointing that out!
As for the build changes, actually I'm not fussed about Hillhold as Lincolnshire is known to be pretty flat so its kinda pointless and a flat tyre indicator... what's that all about? There's a sensible limit to driver aides and that's ridiculous if you can't feel a low tyre whilst driving. I laughed at the option when I was sat speccing my 'roc (a glance to the scraping and stretched rubber on the mk2 gti outside... salesman smiled).
So far she's done 750 miles and was Revo'd last Friday at 311 miles.
Dropping it onto the H&R Springs next week as I'm on holiday at the mo. (not seen one 'rocco here either!)

I used http://www.theplateman.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; a while back and had them made before the car arrived at the dealers. I'll fit them shortly and put some pics up.

Re: My RB GT 170
Surely those German style plates aren't street legal on UK roads?
