Woo hoo! Picked up my new baby today :) (UPDATED WITH PICS)

Post by SciroccoSteve »

I am now a proud owner of a 2.0TSI Rising Blue Roc, and im loving it so far!

Cant wait to see what it looks like inside at night now :P geeky i know

Quick question though, is the car limited to the first however many miles? Just put my foot down a little in 3rd and it kinda went to spool up then made a poppin sound?!?!? Was a little freaked out by that so thought id ask otherwise it make be a fault :/

Loving it tho, hang in there everyone waiting, will deffinately be worth the wait ;)

Ill post some photos over the weekend when i get a cam sorted!

Congrats Steve, although :worthless:

RE: limited power. Not as far as I'm aware, I gave mine a bit of stick a couple of times in the first 1,000 miles and didn't experience any hesitation.

Enjoy your Roc :D

Well done Steve  , now get off the internet and go drive the thing and get some miles on it....

Mine has done over 1,600 miles now, it goes and sounds like a rocket! (I'm still smiling) :D

Hahaha yer ill get some pics up for sure!

Well looks like it wasnt just me thjnking it felt hesitant, got home, popped in to get something, back out into car and noticed the engine management light on :(

I must admit i couldnt say i really felt like it was a turbo'd car, doesnt feel like its spooling up. Going on my previous which it a 1.8t revo'd, i was expecting it to feel as powerful

Got to take it down to VW tomorrow morning for them to run diagnostics on it, what a pain!

I just hope its nothing serious

That's really bad luck Steve :grumpy: , I'm sure the dealers will sort it for you asap.

I'll keep my fingers crossed it's nothing serious.

Let us know how you get on.

Well took it to my local VW yesterday, they said its got a few fault codes pointing to the turbo :(

Its got to go in for 2-3 days but they said they cant fit it in for another week?!?!?!

Im going to phone the garage again on monday and make it known that im not happy with the situation, its not a good look when you've only had the car 1 day....

I knew something was up, the power delivery at the moment feels gutless :(

All sorted, took it in yesterday morning, got the call at 15:00 that it was ready to collect.

Turbo pipe wasnt connected, no wonder it felt underpowered. Feels much better now, looking forward to wearing that engine in :0)
