Bluetooth Touch Phone Kit

Post by Blue Meanie »

Hi guys,

Just wondering about ordering the Bluetooth Touch Phone Kit on my forth coming Roc and would like a few opinions if possible?

First is it any good? its probably essential for the amount of phone time am clocking up....

Second, is it accessable from my GT steering wheel?

Third, does it interface with the radio automatically lowering it etc?

Any help or points of view on the above will be greatfully received!

Ta

1) some previous discussion http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... =25&t=5148" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... +bluetooth" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
there are a reasonable amount of people who have got it so it can't be bad, it is actually a rebranded Bury bluetooth system (some issues have been reported with updating due to it technically being 'VW' not 'Bury' anymore see first link above)
quite a few people have gone for fiscon instead as it integrates with the radio fully & does not have an external screen to attract unwanted attention
2) no it doesn't
3) yes it will mute the radio

hope that helps to begin with

Had a look at the previous posts and think i am gonna plumb for the fiscon and try to get work to pay for it????

I think it offers a better resolved and intergrated solution into the car...

Now being the pain in the a**e that i am i need:

1. Competant fitter that will leave no trace of ripping the car open pref in the North West [Merseyside]

2. Where do i stand with my warrenty [or can i have VW fit it]?

Thanks

Hello all,

Bit strange responding to my own question but for anyone who is thinking of installing the Fiscon i have found an installer in Bradford (the do out calls too).

havent actually had it done yet but then again i havent had the car delivered yet either...first port of call weekend after i pick it up!

I will post here and let you all know how it goes!
