In the middle of trying to install the Bury bluetooth kit.
Am I missing something..?? How do I connect it to the back of the radio..? The wiring harness is not compatible, am I going to have to wire it manually (ie, pull all the cables out the back of the harness) or is there some form of adaptor I should get. Dont really want to mess up the wiring on my brand new Rocco.
Installing the Bury handsfree kit
Re: Installing the Bury handsfree kit
I have a bury cc9060. I'm awaiting delivery of my new roc which this will need installed in.
I have been looking into this and I think the wiring harness needed to connect to the radio is KRAM 86200 also known as SOT-976. There are loads on ebay. Some may be slightly different to others so be careful when ordering.
You can see one on this link...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KRAM-86200-SOT-97 ... 4aa2fd15de

Re: Installing the Bury handsfree kit
Thanks for the info.
I've just ordered:
http://www.bluetoothcarkitdirect.co.uk/ ... R_SOT_Lead
Hopefully this will be the correct one. Should have checked ebay first and saved myself a few pounds.
fyi - Halfords are rubbish. Got a case of "Computer says no", even though probably the same kit was on the rack behind them. Useless. VW dealer wasn't much better, however they were more polite about it.

Re: Installing the Bury handsfree kit
Received the SOT lead, and successfully installed my Bury CC9060. Very nice piece of kit. Mounted mine where the ashtray would have been had I opted for the smokers pack.
One small issue I have not figured out yet... It doesn't switch off with the ignition. Anyone know if this is down to a wiring problem..? As far as I could see the Bury gets its power from the same feed as the radio. Something is telling the radio to switch off (I understand that power is still available to the radio), why is the Bury not switching off...? I imagine this will be the same solution for any handsfree kit.
Anyone any ideas..?

Re: Installing the Bury handsfree kit
One step closer... got this reply from Bluetooth Car Kit Direct when I asked them the question.
"The New cars use CAN BUS and are more complex when it comes to ignition. Try finding an Ignition source from the fuse box. If found, the kit will power down about 10 mins after locking the car. If the kit remains active for an hour after you lock the vehicle, you will require a manual switch to break the power."
Anyone know where I'll find an ignition source..??? Can I run a new one from the fuse box..???
