Some incapable driver...

Post by coldel »

...twatted into my rocco overnight - left a load of green paint on the front right wing and taken off some paint. Of course being the sort of retarded person who cant even miss stationary objects drove off to leave me to deal with it.

Is this a 'send it back to VW to get sorted' job? Any idea how much it costs?

Not good coldel :( can i suggest you post a pic or two up & then we can try to advise, make sure you get some photos of the damage before you try to do any remedial work yourself

That's terrible news. You'll probably have to have it sorted at a VW approved bodyshop in order for your warranty to be honored. It's also worth reporting to the police as well, even if it's just for your records.

ouch :( looks deep so would say it definitely needs to go to someone capable but it looks as though its on the plastic bumper section so shouldn't deteriorate?

Well thats a result, its a company car and we get great accident cover, wont affect my claims either. The leasing company got back to me today...

A repairs company will drive to my address and conduct the repair onsite outside my house so all I need to do is work from home one day next week and its job done without a penny out of pocket!

We had a similar experience in a Tesco's car park a couple of months ago.... :grumpy:

Given that ours is a Viper Green one we expected that people would see it...obviously we were wrong. They "creased" the back wing and pushed it in... :fall:

We were even in the wider bays ("child and parent" one because we had our grand-daughter with us) but they still hit us. :eyepop: They didn't even leave a message to say it had happened.

Had to have it repaired at an approved repair shop locally....can't even see where it happened now...

Good luck with your repair.

Im never surprised by the lack of driving skills displayed by the general public. :faint: My daily driver is a bright red 40ft long, 8.5 ft wide double decker London bus with DRL. The number of times ive had to slam on the brakes or swerve to avoid someone that cant drive is incredibal. And the funny thing is ive has at least 5 or 6 accidents where my bus has been hit by somebody who HASN'T seen it. How can you not see a massive giant red bus!!!
So its not just us Scirocco drivers that seen to be picked on by stupid people that shouldn't have a licence!!

All sorted, company called Revive turned up in a van, covered the car, did it on the spot, 2 hours you would never know its been hit. Would recommend them...
