I don't believe commission numbers are sequential to purely sciroccos, they will be sequential to ALL vw orders therefore I can't see you being able to hypothesise anything from it. also when a car is built it is subject to many factors not just who placed their order when.

as I have suggested to others before your dealer may not be telling you all the fluctuations & will only advise when the build week is confirmed, if you want to know all the minor information, Ask!

also as you have your commission number why not ring vw customer services & ask them what build week it is currently scheduled for.

Still no build date :(

But at least the dealer is keeping me posted every fortnight now to stop be bothering him.

My build date is now confirmed for Week 25.

My dealer tells me that I should expect delivery 4 weeks from then, so ... start of August :D

My estimated build date is for week 36 :( Is there the possibility that the week of production would be reduced?

hi guys, i've got a quick question - Just checked with my dealer last week (Monday 3rd June) and was informed that my roc was 'in production'.
How long does it usually take to finish building a roc?

Another question is..am i likely to have any of the MY2011 changes?

Thanks guys!

Week 22 are the changes for 2011 - so technically if it was started last week it should have the changes. Production generally takes 10 days (depending on various factors). If you have your build week number - that generally means what week the car is scheduled to be completed in.

Hmm.. Do productions typically start at the beginning of a week.. say Monday? Cos when my dealer said 'in production' i think she meant the production started on Week 21 and is stretching over to week 22. Which would mean then that I don't have the MY2011 changes :(

builds can start on any day of the week isaac, when they are producing such large numbers of cars as they do they can't have all the cars at the same stage all at once.

You again, Stuaz... geez. What have they done to your order? (I guess you may have commented on that already but I did not see it)
I am starting to dread my wait to finish off with in a similar way (... although I'd be more likely to get a upper specced rocco 8) )

Basically I ordered a "GT" model, with Cruise, Sat Nav, Winter pack and Parking Sensors, went to pick it on Friday, and found out it was everything I wanted, apart from not being GT specced!!

soooo after a long and lengthy debate with the Manager, with me producing order forms and email confirmations they admitted there "cock up" and I am currently driving around in the Scirocco that was delivered (the non GT) while my new one is built ...again! :)

MY2011 changes

Post by Simon_T »

Hi i just ordered my roc last week and just called the dealer for a build week which is wk 28 july 12th and ive just received my comm number.
I have a question do you guys have access to see how far the car is in the build using my comm number or should i keep that number to myself.
sorry if this sounds like a daft question but ive only just joined and new to all this.
kind regards.
