Re: Garage Find
How do they figure it's the world's most expensive car though? Maybe it was the most expensive to buy at the time? At £6m it's a long way short of the most valuable cars. Still, i wouldn't complain, that'd do me.

Re: Garage Find
I just looked into it, (shit i must be bored) ,apparently the record for a car sold at auction is £5.5 million. I could have sworn a 250 GTO was supposed to have gone for £10 million, and that's not eeven a vintage car.Oh well, whhat the hell do i know.

Re: Garage Find
One of only 17 makes it pretty pricey. Add on that it's a Bugatti too.
I saw it guestimated at £3m yesterday. The tabloids seem to have bumped that a bit.
The world record price for a car is about £8-10m

LONDON, UK -- The legendary Ferrari 250 GTO was auctioned for €20 million (22 Mil $)-setting the world record for the Most expensive car.DavidH wrote:I could have sworn a 250 GTO was supposed to have gone for £10 million,
Powered by a three-litre V12 engine, the 302-horsepower Ferrari 250 GTO can reach speeds of 283km per hour.
It was already considered one of the most valuable cars in the world, previously thought to have been worth approximately €14 million.
But with the recent record-breaking sale, it seems the Ferrari 250 GTO is even more valuable than had been thought.
The previous holder was a 1961 Ferrari California Spyder which sold for about €7 million in May.
