Drivers from both ends of the grid have pushed for a split Q1 session as they fear that having 24 cars out on the very narrow and short circuit would cause chaos. Jarno Trulli stating "I am slow, so I'm going to probably impede someone else.". However, his has been vetoed as all of the teams had to agree and many of the mid-grid ones voted against the split.

Good win for Webber. I think he's turning in to a real title contender now.

Schumacher demoted to 12th following steward enquiry
Schumacher was handed a drive-through penalty, which is converted after the race into a 20-second time penalty, dropping him from sixth to 12th in the results.

Schumacher passed Alonso just as the safety car pulled in at the end of Lap 78. The FIA stewards, which included his old sparring partner Damon Hill, have deemed the German breached Article 40.13 of the Sporting Regulations, which states that “if the race ends whilst the safety car is deployed it will enter the pit lane at the end of the last lap and the cars will take the chequered flag as normal without overtaking."
& both Williams crashes due to car failures (Hulkenberg - front wing mounting component failure, Barichello - failure at rear of car unidentified as yet)

They are going to appeal but the race result is set now the stewards have done it so the best they would get is just an acknowledgment that the decision is wrong, but the correct result will stand.

The rule says if the race is finished under the safety car, implying a full lights on lap where they all carry on across the line behind the car. But when the SC is coming in, the race is back on again once they cross the SC Line just before the last turn, proven by the fact they were given green flags to race again. I think MS was right tbh.
