Near Death Experience not a good way to start the day

Post by chrisyboyc »

Just been involved to 2 crashes in the space of 7 mins 1 mine and the other the guy who crashed into me. After being sideswiped by a lorry pulling away from a set of traffic lights. I had to chase him down the M18 as he was totally unaware of hitting me before i could get him to pull over. We spoke or should i say shouted for 40 seconds I returned to the car to remove the keys from the ignition when another lorry side swiped the lorry that hit me showering me in glass plastic and metal. realising that 0.00005 of a second earlier i was stood where the lorry was driving at the drivers side of my car on the hard shoulder i guess if i hadn't moved i wouldn't be writing this. Not a good day and i expect it will not get any better. now waiting for the insurance company to open at 9:00

not good chris but at least you are ok! the car can be fixed, you are not quite so easy to put back together.

check your insurance docs they may have a 24hour accident hotline (I know my insurers do)

Holy moly!!

Glad you're ok though. Sounds like a day to go and get a lotto ticket!

At least it's only metal that's damaged and that can easily be fixed. Did the second lorry stop?

Glad you came away unscathed. I would say though if you can do a car length in 0.00005 secs, you should call out Usain Bolt at the Olympics! lol

God must have been looking out for you I think, if you had been driving a Vauxhall you might not have been writing this thread :)

Like some of the replies have said it's only a car but nonetheless it's the shock that takes the time to get over.
