Post by SteveGT »

Hi.

Does anyone else notice a large increase in wind noise above 69 miles an hour?

Mines very quiet.

What are the door shut lines like? Are the two door panels flush with the wings and rear quarters?

I have noticed no exceptional noise - as mentioned - check your doors/hatch/sunroof?

I have noticed a little bit in the last couple of windy days. I found the cause of mine to be air rushing through the vent in the A pillar. Try checking that this isn't the problem.

Have checked seals by typical looking and prodding and all seem fine at 0 mph.

Sometimes re-sealing window by dropping it and lifting it while on the move seems to make a slight difference. Think something is just not quite right at faster speeds.

I didn't. It was barely audible and it stopped completely now it's not windy.

I had alot of noise coming from that area arround the pillar vent but it wasnt that. The window rubber at the top point of the mirror were it touches wasn't tight against the window. if you push tissue or a cloth in the gap between the window and the inner plastic trim it really reduced the wind noise. Simple 10 min fix for the dealer to adjust the window.

Still seems to be an area for wind noise and when i was the car with a low pressure hose sometimes i see water droplets on the inside window at that point i described. just don't think the seal is great.

They'll adjust the door inwards for that at the door lock pin on the rear side of the door frame.
