Or you can get them from the idiot who stole them from me in the first place.Ibanez33 wrote:Off the back of crossbones car when he puts some new ones on..danj906 wrote:where can i get those exhaust trims pls ?

I bought them from atu.de, I'll give you the link. They're a big parts supplier and I found these trims that fit perfectly on the scirocco's exhaust. Unfortunately, they only deliver to Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.
I paid 18euros/piece and 5euros transport, so that's about 40euros. The truth is that after they were stolen, I bought another set (that's 80 euros from me) but I didn't fit them yet - they're waiting patiently in the trunk as I'm too scared no to be robbed again. As trix suggested, I'm looking for someone who can weld them on. Can you imagine the look on that guy's face when he tries to steal them again and finds out he can't? (A friend showed me another day a video of a guy with a Cayenne stealing the wiper blades off another Cayenne so that got me thinking it might have been another Scirocco owner who robbed me).
You can get a genuine set from VW, I have the code if you're interested. But they're way too expensive - 120 euros. I thought it was a pretty good deal paying one third of what VW are asking, but in the end I paid two thirds

Condensation in headlights caught my attention. I think it is a chronical problem at Scirocco.

That picture was taken by my dealer and I honestly never noticed that detail in my photos. I have had the car for 4 months now but this phenomena only appeared once. I have also heard it's common problem among Scirocco owners, but this wasn't my case.Murat wrote:Condensation in headlights caught my attention. I think it is a chronical problem at Scirocco.

I don't know how strong are the OEM ones fitted to the Cayenne, as I don't own one and have never tried to steal a pair. From what I saw in that youtube video, he got them off quite easily. Some people really are CHEAP!Ibanez33 wrote:How can someone afford a cayenne, but not a wiper blade??? Re: Rising Blue VW Scirocco
lol no, the first part was referring to the chrome tips on the exhaust, as I believe mine should come with them and I'm hoping they aren't easily removed...
I'll have to have a look for the video though..

Re: Rising Blue VW Scirocco
It's been a long time since I last wrote here.
Meanwhile , my Scirocco has reached 15.000km without any problems. Fuel consumption is decent, leveling at around 35mpg.
I uploaded a set of pictures from my holiday in August, which took me, among others, to some beautiful ports in Italy and Croatia. 4000 trouble-free km with an average of 36mpg and a lot of envious looks everywhere I went. As a bonus, I added a picture from a little drive-test in Maranello. It was mind-blowing.

And how right you are! Second pair STOLEN again, this time they were WELDED though.
That's enough for me, I don't need a third pair.
ps: I bet the thief is the same guy who took the first set. And he would steal evey new set that I would buy. How I would like to chop his fingers and turn acid in on his eyeballs...
