Saw my car for the first time today!

Post by candywhite »

Hi

Went to the dealer today to sort out number plate paperwork and pay the balance.
Had a good look over the car before I parted with my money!

I can collect on Thursday - can't wait!!!! :)

Sorry about the pictures they were taken on the phone!

Hi,

Thanks!

I have asked the dealer to fit the alloy pedal set & the stainless steel sill protectors.
I told the dealer not to valet the car & will be applyling the full Werkstat Acrylic kit this Saturday!
If I get time I will fit the LED number plate bulbs, then after I have done 500-1000 miles I will fit the H&R springs and get a Revo re-map.
Then it will be 19" alloys & tyres and a different exhaust!!! - but I want (to try) and mod it slowly....

Cheers,

Tim

Hi Tim

I pick mine up on 1 April and it's also going to get the full Werkstat Acrylic treatment. I'd be interested to hear what you think of it as it gets great reviews elsewhere but not much mention on here.

Are you claying first?

Hi,

Yes I will be claying first. My friend did his dad's brand new Audi and said that he removed loads of small metal filings with the clay!
I have booked the whole of Saturday to do it, I will let you know how I get on....
Polished Bliss swear by the acylic kit on White or light metallic cars.

How did it go? Any feedback on the Acrylic kit?

Hi

Sorry for the delay - too busy enjoying the car!

I personally think the Acrylic kit is fantastic.

I clayed the car (definately worth doing), applied the Prime, applied 3 coats of Jett (leaving 30 minutes between coats) and then applied the Glos.

All were very easy to apply and have no effect on black plastic trim, etc (if you accidently get any on it). You can use the Glos on lights, etc as well.
The result - fantastic shine and depth - great beading.
I have washed the car twice since and applied Glos after drying - it is very, very easy to maintain.

If you want any pics please PM me!
