Apologies if it's already been covered elsewhere, but out of interest has anyone managed to secure a discount on a factory order recently. Just want to check before I potentially end up paying over the odds. I know there are some internet deals but not sure if these are entirely genuine.

:rolleyes: same here but I'm sure if you find a dealer with one sitting in stock you'll probably be able to chip something off the price assuming you're not too fussy about colour / spec.

I never got a penny off mine and I was told that it was because VW was not allowing dealers to take money off it because it was limited allocation but that was back in mid Nov i suppose. Not sure if that was just rubbish but I certainly tried my best but led to nothing. Always someone else ready to take your potential order because of the spec of the car and limited number I'm assuming

I got one from stock but got a good deal for registering my March 31st if you are happy to take a stock car.

I got £2k scrappage and got them to pay the extra VAT as my order was pre Dec and pick up on Thursday.

Having been down to have a look at the car - just so much better than I was expecting! The pictures just don't do it justice.
