Driving Pose

Post by coldel »

Went and collected my roc this morning, what a car, even enjoyed getting trapped in traffic on the M25 as it meant more minutes spent in the seat.

Anyway after initially getting in the car and getting used to it fell naturally into a great position to drive in, left elbow on the arm rest, three fingers resting on the gear shift and hand on the very top of the steering wheel - occasionally resting right elbow on window edge on the door. I think I looked pretty damn cool :p

How do you drive your roc?

I have to admit to being pretty much the same since I picked mine up on Friday! It gives me a great big smile everytime I drive it & I too like to think I look pretty cool whilst driving it!! :) I'd imagine that in reality I look much less cool, but I dont care!! ;)

I love the stares it gets...from kids to old codgers. Today i was in a line of traffic oppo a bus on the other side of the road....everyone on my side of the bus was looking! Lol. My best mo was pulling up behind a porsche 911 at some lights and some kids at a bus stop diverting their attention to my roc.....the porsche screamed off. Lol.

after almost over 10 years of driving a manual, i still drive the DSG with my left hand on the gearknob, so no obvious reason!

only realise when people point it out to me.

i have recently been on the + and -, and the paddleshift, so trying to keep both hands on the wheel at the 3pm-9pm position.

Starting to get a bit of that weather where you can wind the window right down and get that elbow out a bit

Yes the window elbow out pose...managed to do it for about 2 mins yesterday but my elbow went a strange shade of blue. Doors look v cool when the window is down and you swing them open, like having doors on a porsche 928.

Have yet to be out in enough sunshine to complete the cool pose by donning my oakley's yet though...

I know, we just aren't conditioned to the weather by 'working down pit' like those tough northerners!
