Part number??? black rubber

Post by joe4186 »

hi

i had a little accident today, with a cyclist  , i now have a big tear in the rubber piece at the bottom luckily its on the smaller one after the door on the passenger side,

im just looking for a bit of info, for passenger side.

1) can the rear piece be acquired without buying the front piece,
2) anyone blessed with the knowledge of part numbers and cost
3)is it simply a case of pulling it off, or is removal/fitting a tricky task?

thanks

I'm assuming that you're talking about the plastic door mouldings?

If so, you can buy the rear section on it's own. A full side (door section + rear quarter section) is only around 30 quid + VAT so it shouldn't cost you much. It is tricky to remove though as it's held on with strong tape and trim clips. It's actually two parts and it is possibly to remove the the outer, taped on section without removing the clipped on part underneath. That may be the best bet if it's on the that part that's damaged.
