Got news today that I've got CONFIRMED build week 15!! Just over a month to go... REALLY looking forward to it hearing how some of you lucky lads have been enjoying your experience so far.

Mine too, dealer confirmed BW 15 yesterday. What date did they expect to have it on the here and on the road? Mine said maybe 1st week in may but I'm having personal plate put on it so they said it could be middle of May by the time DVLA get themselves sorted! Considering I ordered at the back end of November I think this is crazy!

Hi Folks,

Just picked up an email from my dealer quoting "Just to keep you informed, your Scirocco R has started production and is showing checkpoint 4 of 8, as of this morning."

I'm not sure how long it takes for a Scirocco R to make its way through all 8 checkpoints, so if anyone would care to hazard a guess on how much longer I have left to wait? Many of us have been waiting so long for our R's, I've hardly been able to get very excited about it yet!

Means its two more working days from being out of the factory and at the dockside.

Week 43 Build has happened on time! 22 Oct'09 Scirocco is at Check Point 5 in the factory
23 Oct'09 Now Complete on the dockside, 24 Oct'09 Sailed from Portugal, 27 Oct'09 In the UK,
29 Oct'09 at dealers Driving 4th Nov. Sorted!
