Is it just me, or does anyone else have problems parking there Scirocco straight when reversing into a space?
I have never had problems in the past with any other cars, and I can therefore only blame this "problem" on the shape of the car as it tapers in towards the rear and/or the passenger mirror gives a false impression of being straight when it tilts down when parking
Yea I have noticed this but its never bothered me as its only out of line by an inch or two, I have to say though I have found the Scirocco very easy to park and have never even looked out the back window when parking, the drop down mirror and the sensors are the perfect aid, the only other thing it could do was park itself!!
Practice makes perfect I guess. I can't say I've had this problem though and I came from an old car that was like a greenhouse in respect to visability.
i went from a golf to a Scirocco and for the first couple of months my parking looked like a twoc abandonment.. its the crease in the mirror, which in the golf was in line with the car, but in the Scirocco is flared, its mostly sorted now, but i do still occasionally get out and think 'better try that again'

Well personally, as a bloke ( ) I've not had any trouble parking my Roc. Granted the view out of the rear window is restricted but I've come to rely upon my wing mirrors and parking sensors which together seem to work just fine.
Just one thing that worries me - BOLLARDS - that might slip between sensors
I've not had a problem with this.
The visibility is a little reduced but you get used to that pretty quickly. I think it can also depend on what you're used to driving prior to the roc.

I have actually found it easier to reverse park than park forwards! Had to line it up twice just now parking 'nose in' to a space whereas going backwards no problems at all...
I am all sorted now people. After experimenting I have opted to rely on the mirrors rather than turning my head around and that has solved it. I knew it was to do with the shape of the car.......
Its not the parking I find a problem. Its finding a space wide enough to park it in and open the doors, not the easyest thing ive found in the every day carpark.

I know that feeling find a space then you look to side.. and I think "I haven't really thought this through"...
Hopefully it'll be just a case of getting used to view out the back which it somewhat similar to those old tv license commercials, where theres someone looking through a letterbox..

I always back in to a parking spot if possible. As I weigh up the parking slot I can see what's there and I know nothing is going to move while I'm parking.
Much harder backing out in to a road or area where cars, people (kids especially), shopping trolleys, etc. can move in to your path unseen.
