Also can I just say to people that have ordered one, that the pics do no justice for the car.
When you pick it up and see how fat the side spoilers poke out, the blue speedo needles light up and you take it above 3000 revs ...brum brum!!! :)

couple of new pics today. but it got absolutely filthy again as the weather forecast is complete b011ocks.

it was supposed to be a clear day, hence i washed it last night. but no it rained, roads were wet, was kinda drizzling too this morning and driving behind some lorries meant last night was wasted effort.

Does look a bit 4x4 ish tho. New sticker for rear end added.

I noticed the lights shining brighter on left or right lock on mine but thought it was the LED's. Have not had time to check

well the DRL's are fixed as far as I can see, so something is "moving" and aiming a beam to the left or right when u do enough steering lock to trigger it. Hmmm....

one thing i must learn to do on the Roc compared to my golf, is to keep the keys on me when doing anything in the boot!

if i opened it with the remote, and accidentally leave the keys in there and shutting it, i am buggered!

You can get away with it on the Golf but not the Roc. Grrrr.

Good news is that my Wurth Rubber Care has arrived!

LOL i'll be taking it "easy". I go there to enjoy the experience and banter with some mates. Leave the "bridge to gantry" chasers to those with special toys and can afford to replace them.

The cornering lights are standard fit with the Xenons, there is an additional halogen bulb which lights up when the steering is turned. They also seem to be activated at slow speeds when the indicaters are put on. Nothing moves or swivels, the wifes clio has them too. Some other manufacturers offer headlights that actually turn although a dedicated fixed bulb offers much the same effect for a fraction of the cost. Some Mercs use the fog lights to provide cornering light, looks a bit odd with one foglight on. Some of the forum goers have enabled this function on the Roc via vag-com.

GTI2RocR, if you don't mind sharing, how much did these parts cost and are you getting the dealer to fir them for you?
would anyone know how much it was to be done by the dealer? ive not got a ICE Guru... maybe we could share lol, and are there comparision pics of it all done prior and after?
Just heard back from the dealer: £252.63 including fitting and VAT.

right first interior mod done - the rear flip down cup holder replacing the wee stowage thingy. I thought I'd start with the easy one first lol. Only 5mins to swap.

Now thinking about doing the front covered ashtray compartment swap.

Right quick update on my car

Today was the day to fit the bits I had bought.

But what do you know...muppet here seems to have got one of the bits wrong! Grrrrrrrrrr

The Storage compartment I got - Part no. 1K0857961A9B9 is a 4 button compartment.

The trim cover i got - Part no. 5K08634871QB is for a 5 button compartment!!!!! I can not f'ing believe it (or why didn't i try and put it together beforehand to check..dumbo)

This pic shows how the 2 doesn't match and fit.

Image

Image

So I'll be buying either a 5 button compartment, or a 4 button trim cover. Not decided which yet lol.

As said previously I had already fitted the rear cup holder as that was piece of cake even a numpty like me can do.

Image

Image

Taking the armrest apart to fit the centre cup holder. Thanks to the instructions posted up by Arlut and others it was relatively straight forward!

finished article.

The compartment we've let loose so i can fit the new one when i've ordered it. So it looks like this at the mo. lol

I had also bought a metal foot rest cover to fit over the plastic to keep it in line with the nice pedals.

Here it is fitted.
