Rising Blue with Black Wheels?

Post by stevenson2109 »

Hi folks,

I have recently ordered a Scirocco R as per the spec over in my profile.

The leasing company have just called me to say that VW have asked if I want the alloys in Black or Silver. To be honest I didn't even know this was an option from the factory! Dont suppose anyone has a pic of a Rising Blue R with Black 19" Talladega wheels on it? Or even a non R would give me a good indication!

What do you guys think I should go for?

Cheers!

Stevenson

technically its not on the scirocco its only an option on the golf but someone else has also been given this option

I don't think anyone has taken delivery of any rocs with black wheels yet as its such a new option let alone black talladega's so you might require a photoshop expert on that front.

I think the silver will look better. I've got a feeling that the black will be more glossy and once the tyres have warn a bit, it will look a bit rubbish.

Yeh I agree. I also think the silver looks more classy and sporty.

I have opted for the silver.

Here are a few pics of a Golf R in Rising Blue with the Black wheels. Nice but probably a bit too much for me.

One question silver chariot, why did you pick parking sensors on the car if you are also getting the rear view camera?

to be honest i might start getting paranoid about parking the Roc. Its one phat bugger! doors are huge. If I was any fatter i wouldn't be able to park it in the garage and get out! almost scraped the passenger side of it the other day.

when will they start doing side parking sensors? lol

Anyway, back on topic. Here's a photochop I did a while ago:

To be honest, I thought the Talladegas only came in Sterling Silver for the Scirocco R. :?

VW UK called my dealer who then called me and asked if I wanted the 19" wheels in black or silver, I said black. I'm still waiting to see if it actually turns up with Black Wheels should know in the next 2 to 3 weeks.its Dockside atm waiting for RW to find out when the next boat is :)

I suspect it was a muppet at VW UK that got mixed up or there wires crossed and it will just come with silver wheels like normal. I've not had this confirmed by my dealer and I have not asked about it again. I left it as a surprise for me when it turns up :)
