I'd say its still on the transport blocks in the suspension.

I would agree Andy, cos the front wheel camber looks odd in the last photo. Had to look twice in caser it was trick of the camera lens but it's not.

I think the transport blocks in the suspension would of been removed as possibly already had a pre-delivery check due to the bonnet wrapping not on there.
Not sure if its the picture quality but that rising blue looks much better than my existing GT ...mine must need cleaning!

Mine is sat at the dealers, gonna have a peek when i sort the finance next week.
The sales guy said everyone has been walking past asking what it is and having a peek as mine is the only Roc there!
He also said they will be getting a Golf R delivered next month as a demo but it will not actually be going on the road just in the showroom and thats where it will be staying until someone buys it apparently!

haha yes you'd be the only one who knew who i was and there was a clue on this thread which I forgot about. But I guess you found it lol.

I'll post it on the other forum soon enough...but at least I think they prefer the Roc R over the Golf R anyway!

Will see you at some more RR sessions and GTI Inters I'm sure.

Hi GTI2RocR
Can you say what bits you ordered to smarten up the cup holders and stowage holes in the centre consol.
Is a bit out of keeping with the rest of the trim
Thanks

I've bought the following bits ready to fit into the car:

Centre Cup holder with slide cover - 1K0862531AUBN
Stowage compartment with flip cover - 1K0857961A9B9 (This is a 4 button version)
Trim surround for stowage compartment - 1K0863487F1QB 4 button version (5K08634871QB is a 5 button trim cover)
Cover for Stowage Compartment flip cover - 1K0857351F1QB
Rubber Mat insert for Centre Cup holder (you only get one of the 2 with cup holder) - 1K0863301B71N
Rubber Mat insert for Stowage compartment - 1K0863330A 9B9 (you must specify the A as it means the smaller version. Without it you will get the big one which doesn't fit)
Rear Cup Holder (behind Armrest) - 1K0862532G9B9
Rear Cup Holder cover - 1K0862543B82V

Shocking how VW decided not to fit these bits as standard!

What are the supplied mats like as I might just take my old premium mats out the GT?
Bit of a trivial question but the dealer isn't having another £70 out of me for some decent mats aswell!

Answers to all the questions,

1) Exhaust centre to centre is 109cm

2) Mats are fine but I havn't seen the premium ones to compare. They have a thin grey border that looks nice. If it were me I would keep the premiums as well so you have winter and summer sets.

Did a motorway run yesterday and the rising blue is a good colour for not showing too much dirt.
Exhaust has a great raspy character sound when under some load.
Steering wheel is just slightly off centre. I will get my VW supplier to tweek it.
Love the adjustable suspension as never had it before.

I am sure there will be plenty of discussion after Autocar comes out tomorrow. I don't care what they say the car looks and drives great and thinking about it well worth the money. Probably could sell for a small premium which is a nice feeling.
