Is my brand new Roc broken ?

I got my new Roc on Wednesday and I've got a metallic raspy noise coming from the front end when I put my foot down a touch.

Is it supposed to be doing it ? It sounds like a dodgy turbo or something to me.

I've been driving the mkV Gti for the last three years and never heard anything similar.

Common problem. I wouldn't worry about it. It does it at certain revs? Mine however doesn't do it know since it was remapped and the exhaust fitted, strange!

I have this between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm, plenty of threads about it on here. Personally I like the sound but many people are unhappy with it.

That's good to hear, what is it making the noise ? Is it turbo related ?

Yeah some people think it is a wastegate rattle, I seem to remember somebody being told by VW there is no fix.
