I doubt it will be in the rear view mirror, the Rocco is lighter, just as powerfull and will have less drive train power loss. Put them along side each other on a motorway and floor it, I bet you the Rocco will pull ahead.
A wet traffic light grand prix might be diffrent.

err how do you go about this? I like the covered cup holder in my GTI (with the slidy cover thing)...but looking at the centre cup holder how can you possibly retro fit this? The whole centre console is one piece of plastic?

Also any idea if you can retro fit the ashtray cover too.....i like that wee cubby hole (use it for spare change u see)
so having a cover on that would be ideal!

You can retro-fit both yourself...

Here's the link for the cupholder...

Those are the right links gti2rocr (thanks drigbyy2k). Also if you dont feel like fitting them yourself you can do them at any vw dealer, only problem is that they'll try to rip you off. Actually they wont try, they will rip you off  BTW, congrats on ordering the roc r gti2rocr but how come not upgrade to the golf r???

i had options on either...deposit put down back in july for either one depending on prices...

the Golf R was just way too much for what it was and as i've had a Golf for 4 years wanted something bit different.

The female boss at work approved the look of the Roc R so i decided to go for one of those..plus i really did like the look of it with phat 19's.

Will be running it in on a Ring trip in May

But an awesome car, no wonder it sold straight away!!
I still think the Roc R looks better in everyway tho :D :D (apart for the cupholders next to the handbrake :grumpy: )
Yeah it does, but the Rocco looks so much meaner, looks like a grinning frog next to it.
Just been to have a look at the Golf R at Stockport....had jump the barriers and dodge the security chap, but got a good look at it, pretty nice... but i know what you mean by the frog look, and its no where near as mean as the Roc l!!! Can't wait to see the Roc R in the flesh now :D

Why would they order a "demo" with no cruise control or sat nav, bit cheap really!

Why?

Both are majorly overpriced and much better value as retrofit!

Bit of a pointless demo then if there is nothing to demonstrate

people go to demo the car (ie engine/ride/size/comfort) not so much the toys in it, cruise & satnav are pretty much the same in any different guise.

Well since everyone here seems to agree that the scirocco r looks better (aka meaner/frog look) than the golf r, so here are some pictures of both of them :yummy: . Also a picture of the 2.0gt and scirocco r :eyepop: (my bad if the pictures are small  ):

not convinced the Blue one is a road going Rocco R, there seems to be heat vents on the bonnet, it has blue mirrors and spots. and if you peer inside it looks like a possible roll cage.

Looks Like our Roc's could be built at the same time, I have UC BW 12 too.
