Anyone else been to see this?

It was the first 3D film I've seen (apart from the old Robin Hood red/green glasses jobs on TV as a kid) and I have to say it was visually stunning. Essentially it's Dances with Wolves but with 9ft tall blue aliens but I enjoyed it.

Some of the 3D stuff was perhaps a little over done. It sometimes looked as though they were trying too hard to make EVERY scene have some sort of 3D thing in it like fern leaves in the foreground or butterflies or something going by but even so it looked amazing. Some of the best CGI I've ever seen. Really didn't look artificial at all and after 20 minutes or so you tended to forget that it was.

Pretty good then.
8/10
And deffo see the 3D version. The tickets were pricey but it's worth it. It won't look the same on a tv.

Yeah I thought the CGI and general special effect were brilliantly done...

But in general I love James Cameron films and Avatar a film wasn't much cop tbh IMHO

great cgi, plot could have been a little stronger, overall I give it 8/10
If you haven't seen it, you must see on the big screen in 3D, I don't think it will be quite so impressive on DVD

As a film not great, I didn't think it would be my sort of thing and from the trailers I wouldn't have bothered if it wasn't in 3D.

But visually it is AMAZING! I don't think it can be compared to any other film at the cinema, it is a totally different experience IMO. Overall 9/10, had I had seen it in 2D probably 3/10. :)

I'm going to go against the grain on this one and say that I much preferred it in 2D (I've seen it in both). Personally seeing any film in 3D seems to give me a very bad headache I don't enjoy it at all.

I think it must be my eyes/brain though because I'm sure; had I been able to appreciate it, it would have been great. The film though was top notch and I really enjoyed it in 2D!

Watched it at the IMAX in Birmingham in 3D. The CGI effects were awesome, best yet by far. The plot could have been better but overall a good movie 8/10. Looking forward to 3D Tv's coming on the market later in the year but expect it to be a while before i can afford one.

I saw this yesterday and thought it was amazing, forgot to blink a few times! A pleasant surprise as i was expecting it to be pants

Luckily I had the best seat in the house, bang in the middle. The previous 3d film i saw I felt like i didn't have 100% focus as i was sat off to one side.
