Price comparison, Greece&UK

Post by a.gerolymbos »

In the process of ordering a MY2010 Scirocco in Greece...
Heres the deal that I got offered at VW:

1.4TSi 160PS - € 23770
rcd310, esp, asr, abs, etc etc

Sport Pack - € 550
Donington 17s, 65% tints, cloth/alcantara seats, multifunction steeringwheel, alum pedals, etc etc

Papers, Tax etc - €470

Total - € 24790
Dealership said they would give me a reduction which a highly educated guess (exhaustive searching) tells me will be around €800

so final price around €24k = £ 21500

How does that compare to UK prices?

Welcome to the forum.

Mine below is reasonably spec'd. Some of the options you have listed aren't around in the UK. Base price for the 1.4TSI is £19,660. UK prices (full) for my Scirocco is £23,845. Looks quite reasonable over your way compared to some countries, but they are higher than the UK.

C.
Week 43 Build has happened on time! 22 Oct'09 Scirocco is at Check Point 5 in the factory
23 Oct'09 Now Complete on the dockside, 24 Oct'09 Sailed from Portugal, 27 Oct'09 In the UK,
29 Oct'09 at dealers
Driving 4th Nov. Sorted!

I speced mine up on VW.DE
If I include the things we get standard on ours here in the UK and then the same option I choose on Uk model it comes to 43163 Euros .At todays exchange rates it is £38295

UK Price for the Car is £32,575

Things we get standard that are options in germany;

Car Alarm = 270euros
DCC = 970
Mirror Pack = 165
tinted windows = 205
winter pack = 53
Center Arm rest = 135

I'm Happy that at least the Car is cheaper here than in Germany

i got my scirocco 25,400 euros in cyprus and it has panoramic roof, rcd510, sport pack (65% tints, cloth/alcantara seats, multifunction steeringwheel, alum pedals, fog lights ) , 18'' interlagos oh btw its a 1.4L tsi 160hp but if you buy a 2.0L tsi here in cyprus with dsg its like 35000 euros. and if im not mistaken with that money you can get the R in the uk. i dont know how much will the R cost here in cyprus but for sure it will be a lot :P

Well all these prices are nothing, come to the middle east. I am from lebanon and here we deal with dolars, so as you can see the options that i had on the side (ps not where standard bastards) i payed $53000$ :yikes: , and i added an extra $1k for private license plate= a whopping 54000$......i heared the cheapest is in dubai or smth to purchase a roc???

The 1.4 with rcd 310, and regular ac unit (not dual zone) and fog lites, causts aroud 39000$ to 40000$. And for the scirocco r we will be getting only one to my country. In the middle east the official dealer is dubai then they send it to other dealers around the middle east. So the final decision on the r, is that it wont sell alot, so we will be having only one or two in leb. Starting price 62000$ :eyepop: :faint: :eyepop:

I have ordered mine 1.4TSI 160 with the sports pack( alcantara seats, interlagos rims, tinted windows, aluminum pedals, black head lining, black dashboard inlays and floor mats) together with the
pack rcd510 with media-in and dynaudio (including parking sensors, multifunction steeringwheel and 2zone aircon)
and on top of that i have the folding mirrors and deep black paint.
The car should cost 28540€ but i got a 6percent discount.
