Anyone else ordered one?

Just before Christmas, my car (although I have a coms number - a confirmed order) had no build week scheduled. It has surprised me that some people have had theirs allocated and others who ordered earlier haven't. Mine isn't stock in that I have a few extras on it, but not a huge amount.

My dealer originally told me that the car would probably be here around April/May - March if VW get their act together but I think the March date is very very unlikely!

I have ordered so many cars from VW over the past few years and I have learned not to get my hopes up... to think the worst I will be expecting a June delivery and if I get it earlier, then it is a bonus!

Hi, I'm the same as you. Ordered in early November and my dealer told me just before Christmas that he would know something in January. I've known him for ages and bought loads of cars from him so believe him. He has told me that the cars will be built in batches depending on major spec. I've ordered DSG and sunroof so mine may be a bit later. Perhaps April.

I waited ages for my TSI as the sunroof' held them up.

I've had two R32's mk 4 and 5 but think the Roc R will be better fun.

I would reckon the sunroof is probably the major delay for some as it's a different body on the car, where as the R without sunroof is basically the same as a normal roc then diverted off for bumpers, exhaust etc.

Also if anybody has any options that dont sell very well then that could also cause delays ..."now where did we put one of those electrically adjustable seats again boss?" for example!

Its only a different roof panel, not a different body
