i wouldn't wait for it to happen again. You could be doing 70mph on a motorway next time it happens and could lead to an accident.

You should be straight back to the dealer with it on Monday morning. The AA man may have sorted it but i'd make sure a VW mechanic had a good look at it and viewed the fault messages.

i think your right Bhoy,i cant see myself keeping car, have lost all interest in it since they changed steering wheel,dials,heating/ventilation/air-con controls etc.,.7month old car already outdated, plus lots of niggling problems too.i have spent a hell of a lot of v hard earned money on my car, frankly i'm disgusted with VW. thanx for the reply.anyone else as disgruntled as me out there? i think VW need to sit up&take note of how many problems associated wit scirocco so far,

Sorry to hear you're not happy with it. I've not even got mines yet (ordered July). I'm picking it up next week so i'm hoping to have a better experience that you seem to have had.

I know what you mean about the outdated models etc. They started building the 210bhp model the week after mines was build.

hope you manage to get everything sorted

good luck wit new delivery this week Bhoy! every car s differant so you could well be trouble free.I am contacting dealer tomorrow, will report back on their handling of complaints.210bhp intro s a bit of a pain ok,as was 170bhp diesel... they just seem so hellbent on complicating model line up as much as possible, since Jan.09 it seems to be a very complicated/messy line up of models for such a new model car.Mode s right, prices seem v v high, compared to better specced alternative makes&models. I'm DEFFINATELY finished with VW. reliability/quality seems to be a major new issue for VW, new Passat electronic handbrake s dogged with trouble also, jamming in on mode with NO emergency release facility.
