RCD510

Post by alex »

*my first post*

I'll be in the market for a Scirocco in a few months and have already started to 'secretly' spec it... :P

In my price list there is an item thats called "Radio/CD RCD 510, cd changer, AUX input and Dynaudio 300W". Is that the one on the top or bottom? My brochure doesnt say that the RCD510 is a touch-screen, but when I read the UK spec one, that says that it actually IS touch-screen. Very confusing...

:welcome: palex to the forum

Bottom screen is the 510, top screen looks like the 310?

510 is touchscreen, and very good it is too. Dynaudio also very good.

A mighty one of that aswell. By february I'll have 3/4 of what I need for the car, gonna loan the rest. I've testdriven one already, and I'm completely sold. There is just nothing that can touch it in that segment, atleast with the choice of hot hatches in Norway - which isnt very good: GTI, Scirocco, Mini Cooper S (maybe a used GP),Type-R or 500 Abarth is about it. Astra, ST and that lot gets raped by tax.

With the spec I've planned (full leather, rcd510+dynaudio, acc (its not standard), dab radio, paddles on the steering wheel, parking sensor), its gonna cost about 44k quid.
I'll atleast get a 8% off on the car though, so then it ends up at 41.5k. Mind you, in Norway the average income is a lot more than in the uk (but then everything costs a lot more here too).

Life is too short to drive shitty cars! :hyper:
