Could do with some of that proper snow down there but I think we might just miss it.

Re: Rocco's and Snow
Where I'm from, it snowed all week and it's not so pleasent cleaning the snow of a rocco. First of all, you don't know if you can enter the car as the windows freeze. When you finally open the door, there's some snow that falls inside, on the seat, the mats and a bit on the dash. The same happens when you open the boot. Although I'm a big fan of skiing, can't wait for spring

Re: Rocco's and Snow
where's that at in Scotland?
I live in Aberdeen although I'm back in Ireland for Christmas. I remember this time least year Aberdeen ground to a halt one Friday afternoon after it started snowing. I'd just got back from working in Brazil that morning...talk about a shock to the system!!

Re: Rocco's and Snow
lucky you! it was murder, snow came on about 2pm, no gritters/snow ploughs could go out and then everyone left work early to try to avoid the worst of the snow. the whole city was gridlocked. a mate of mine was coming back from glasgow and got to Altens in North of city, took him 3 hours to get to his flat on just off Union Street.x5pea wrote:south lanarkshire mate, i was also in aberdeen in dec last yearScirocco Bhoy wrote:where's that at in Scotland?

Re: Rocco's and Snow
I've never understood why when we get an inch or two of snow the whole country grinds to a halt (especially down south)! Other nations cope with it all winter without a problem. Perhaps it's time winter tyres were compulsory in the UK between December and February.
Can someone please give me a definition of a journey that is absolutely neccesary?! All you hear on the news is do not travel unless your journey is absolutely neccesary! Is work neccesary? What about going to the shops for milk? As far as i'm aware every journey I make is neccesary.......I wouldn't make the journey at anytime of the year unless it was neccesary!
Rant over
