ESP off

Post by MareQ »

Hi

I was wondering how to swich ESP totally off. What I mean is in spite of turning ESP off when I want to make a slide it turns on automatically which is really annoying thing for me.

(sorry for my english ;) )

Well, I can't remember for sure, but I think you have to keep the button pressed for 3 seconds.
Anyways, you can find out for sure reading the instructions manual.

There is something in the manual regarding this I seem to remember, Basically although you have turned off the ESP it still engages at certain times as a safety feature, TBH though I have turned mine off and had a (private road) drifting seesion and the ESP never interupted me????

I tried to keep button pressed for 3 seconds already and it doesn't work.
I owned a GTI MKV before and when I turned ESP off that ment it was really off.

See my other posting on this subject - the ESP will never turn off 100% and that was my question, it will also react differently in D and S on the DSG. It will allow more slide in Sport suspension and Sport gearbox. Porsche is set to a % ie 16% in sport and allow 20% with the traction off before intervening. They all use the same bosch software just programme it differently and that was my question - what degree will it allow before intervening....... never got a response and its not too tech for someone at VW thats in the know.........

I very much doubt it, you can't turn it off in a road 911 completely so unlikely to in a Scirocco that uses the same 'brain'
