if the tyres are not on wheels, then the experts recommend that you store them standing up, not lying down, to prevent deforming the sidewalls

I store mine standing up & turn them every couple of months to stop them getting a flat spot at the bottom

Hello! I have a set of conti ts 830P (new and better than ts 830) 205/50/17 on 7J advanti racing wheels and they are great. However I don't know what is the correct tyre pressure for this size since my sticker includes only summer tyres and the sizes from 225/45/17 up and all are 2.3 bar front and rear... Can somebody help?

Hi there!
I'm thinking of buying 7jx16' rims for winter tyres. I have the winter tyres from my old car and they're 195/55/16. Can I fit them to the 7j rim? Every manufacturer says 205/55 on the 7j, but I don't think this is a big deal.

You will be able to fit your 195 winter tires on a 7j rim. However, there will be less rubber to protect from kerbing the wheels. It will be really insignificantly less than a 205 tire but still it will be easier to kerb.

If you look at Dunlop's website, you'll see that for each tire size they have an Approved Rim Width, which gives the recommended size of the wheel and on the 195/55/16 winter tire I checked they gave 5.5-7. That's for Dunlop, at least, but I doubt it other manufacturers are much different.

Thanks a lot. I'm not very scared of kerbing the rims, as they are winter rims and are supposed to endure the harsh weather (plus I never managed to kerb any rim with any car). I don't have dunlops, but continentals and think they will fit just great. Just needed reassuring before buying the wrong rims.
