I Got It :( Now it's Gone
Well, car got delivered from Glasgow to me today.. that's as good as it gets.
Sat in,
Hmm where is my multifunction steering wheel...
Hmm where is my Dynaudio package
Hmm where is my Smoking pack
Hmm where is my 2 Zone Climate Control
Hmm where is my MDi cable
Could they have got it any worse ?
I have taken the car as I could not stand to wait another period of time, do you know what can be added in the above by dealer level ?
I am a rather unamused panda.

Re: I Got It :(
Apart from the MDi Cable from Parts Dept., most will be a an uphill struggle as they are not dealer retro packs or upgrades.
Whats the dealer said about the lack of your ordered options. I would be flaming mad if this car had arrived on my doorstep. It's technically a breach of contract.

Write to them immediately and state that you are not accepting the car.
Then just wait for their response. It's not up to you to make offers to them!

Its time to "kick-off" - they know what you asked for and they have not delivered!
As above, don't offer them anything, they need to make it up to you.
I bet it still looks stunning though if your honest, even without your toys

Re: I Got It :(
Thing is it was done through Arnold Clark for a lease so I need to go through them...
I got told chances are that all will happen is, car goes back. VW place new build, wait till new one arrives, est March if not later.
Yes is does look stunning... just have to wait an see what will happen now. Was thinking about the above post that says drive it till I get what I wanted but does having taken it for the time being mean that all is now scuppered?

Re: I Got It :(
First thing to do is to talk to the salesman or their boss. Bring the paperwork proving what you'd ordered and what's not there. See what they can suggest.badpanda wrote:well what would one do, wait till a build slot would be allowed and continue to wait ? really on a sticky here
At worst, you should expect a refund on the parts you didnt get. Otherwise, as someone else suggested, demand that you drive the one you've got until they get you a car with all the parts you ordered on it.
Don't leave it too long, the sooner you at least lodge your complaint, the more chance you have of getting action. So really call them asap and complain!

Re: I Got It :(
Yep you need to get back to them asap.
Have you paid for the stuff they haven't added? That's the best part of a grand of extras.
You should also negotiate something whereby they give you a car until the one you ordered arrives.

Re: I Got It :(
If it had happened to me I don't think I'd have accepted the car, but mine was paid for with my own cash (i don't mean that to sound bad by the way)
If it's a company car it's a little less dramatic, but I do agree with the others who suggest you try to keep this one untill they get you what you ordered
The advantage is that with it being a leasing company, that may be slightly easier to swing than for a private order, as the garage won't have to take the car back as used stock
Either way I think I'd have gone abso-f kin-lutely balistic !!!

Re: I Got It :(
Does that mean that somebody else is driving your car around and you've ended up with theirs ?
Somebody somewhere must be smiling.
I'd be fuming and telling them I want one on the soonest allocation.

Re: I Got It :(
it's a personal lease too so i still pay £200 a month so technically some of my own money too. That's tyres, insurance, any problem all paid for.badpanda wrote:Yeah company car, still no acceptable. Worried the someone might actually have my car is a possibility. Will update tomorrow guys.

Re: I Got It :(
I noticed this name was mentioned "Arnold Clark" should read "Arnold Shark"...
If it was me there would be one hell of a row in that dealers, its not what you ordered simple as that. But I know what you mean about waiting for a replacement but I'd walk away from this one if I were you, really...

Re: I Got It :(
Carefull you're not paying BIK/Company car tax on the extras you ordered...
I work in the industry and you need to understand where things have gone wrong - whether it's VW not speccing the car properly or whether your leasing company have not ordered it properly. Then you throw your toys in the required direction.
I would suggest speaking with your leasing company for advice before driving the car any further - you pay them to sort this crap out, that's the benefit of leasing the car!

Re: I Got It :(
I assume you are talking about Arnold Clark on Crow Road in Glasgow. One of the worst VW dealers in Scotland, not to mention any other brand.
I dont know your situation in terms of the company car scenario, but if you personally don't gain anything from the lack of options that should be in your car I would kick up hell. Wouldn't you rather wait a few months and get the car you really wanted? How long will you have the car for? ...because in a few months time when that "new car smell" has worn off you'll be thinking about how you wish it had thi,s that and the other.
My advice would be to reject it. Tell them that you will accept it as a loaner and your company will pay the monthly lease on it until the properly specc'd car is delivered. The dealer/lease company get's the revenue and you don't need to be without a Roc till March. Surely that's a realistic and fair compromise for all parties?
After that - NEVER go to Arnold Clark VW again. Use Verve instead.

Thanks for all the replies..
It's Arnold Clark Vehicle Management, that's not on Crow Road. Just google ACVM and they ordered it from VW in Greenock. I have been assured that the order forms Arnold Clark processed, which I do have copies of include the extras that I asked for. Now whether or not they were put through is another question.
As for the BIK, I am sure it is about £40ish. The way it works for me is the company I work for pay £217 a month for a basic car and I pay the difference for what I want.
I am sure I will get a call tomorrow about what they want to do, I want to go with the

I just don't know if this is an option that will be allowed, they have now already lost the money on it so prob don't want me racking up more miles on it. I love that roc, just have a bad feeling that I am the one that will end up with a probable 6 month wait for a new one whilst having to drive something I don't want.
Lastly to " you pay them to sort this crap out, that's the benefit of leasing the car!"
I get the feeling they don't really care tbh, not even an apology so far.

Re: I Got It :(
Sorry if I've missed it but are you leasing the car personally or are your company leasing it on your behalf? If your company are leasing the car for you then it's worth involving your fleet manager to apply a bit of pressure.
TBH I'm a bit surprised that ACVM aren't interested, have you spoken with their customer care team?

Re: I Got It :(
I suppose the company are leasing it on my behalf. The girl that does the vehicle admin is as useful as a wet paper bag. She has not helped at any stage of my 6 months of hell, complaint going in for that one.Scirocket wrote:Sorry if I've missed it but are you leasing the car personally or are your company leasing it on your behalf? I am calling the lease guy tomorrow cause "I don't really understand your email". Do you think Evils suggestion would fly Scirocket?
