Looks like the ship that came over was carrying a fair few Rocs! I pickup mine at 8am tomorrow, not sure I'll get much sleep tonight. Made the mistake of having a look at it yesterday when I was in signing papers I didn't really read because I was staring out the window at my Roc.

Hi all. I've just been notified of my build date being confirmed for week 44 (next Thursday). Can't wait to get hold of it now. Interestingly my dealer still knows nothing of week 45 changes. Chances are I miss out by days but then again it means my roc should be here in matter of few weeks. Been told to expect 6-7 weeks for delivery but looks like few here have received sooner. :p

Called VW UK today to enquire about my Build Date to be told it has been moved out from W46 to W51 - start build 14-Dec-08 - so I'll quite happily pick up on my return from Oz - Only consolation is that it will be registered in 2010 !! TJ

Why is it taking so long, see you ordered in July a whole month before mine and I've been confirmed for week 45 :? .

Goodness knows why - was getting excited as it got closer - got to within 3 wks and now I'm back to 8 weeks - never mind - there's not much I can do about it - post some piccies when you get your's !!

So can it still change once its been confirmed, guy at customer service said its definite now.

Wednesday to check it was in build at last - got "in production" confirmed, thursday, and today.
(Via Milton Keynes Customer Services with my Commision number [6 digit code from dealer]).

Last i heard on mine was that it was at check point 3 in build last week. Haven't heard anything this week but i'm hoping its sharing a boat with yours tomorrow!!... either that or its sitting on a truck round the corner! (i can dream)!

If it was at C.P. 3 then it's out of the factory (providing they've had no problems on the rest of the checkpoints). The last checks only seem to take about 3 or 4 days. Don't reckon there was a boat last week. The more the merrier!

Ship sailings take about 36 hours from Lisbon area. Loading and unloading is just like the ferries - a few hours. Then they cue the cars for paperwork clearance etc. "Commission Assigning". Then off to their destination dealers.

I think the boat sails direct to the UK first then onto VW at Emdem in Germany
and maybe another port or two. Then back to Lisbon with German made cars I suspect. If there is only one boat, then it's most likely a two week circuit???

Bit confused, VW customer services told me 2 weeks ago that my unconfirmed build week was 50, phoned today and was told there is no build week? Did the person not know what to do, or am I just destined to wait forever...
